We have checked import statistic of ’09 NL lily crop until Apr, 2010.
We noticed it increased a lot in Apr., so we checked to know it’s situation, as follows.
①Due to weather and economical speed of the boat, about 2 weeks’ delay occurred.
NL expected much more bulbs to arrive in Japan by Mar., but many bulbs arrived in Apr.
②Shipping instruction from Japan is a little earlier than last year.
③Some big exporter said total order of Japan for crop ’09 might be 2~3% less than crop ’08.
Already, it is too late to stop shrink. But we, Japanese importers are needed to supply
good quantity bulbs stably and safely, in order not to disappoint forcers and market.
